Miss Venezuela 2017, The Power of the Crown

November 9 as thousands watched Sthefany Gutierrez being crowned Miss Venezuela.  As has been the case for the past 65 years, the contest was one of the most long-awaited events of the year and it turned into a celebration for Venezuelans and all Latin America. This year was particularly special because not only did the Latino population in the USA watch it on Venevision USA but the number of digital viewers was also the highest ever.

More than 243 million users watched @missvenezuela on Instagram, with 5,300 posts, 23,000 comments and 440,000 likes.

On Twitter, #MissVenezuela trended nationally for eight straight hours (from 8 pm to 3 am) and for two hours it was a global trending topic, all thanks to the 21,600 users creating contest – related content.

#OrgulloMissVenezuela and #MissVenezuela got a total of 2.4 billion impressions.

The contest’s official YouTube channel was played 290,000 times and between November 9th and November 10th the channel’s content got 231,800 views.

Last, but not least, the official missvenezuela.tv website was viewed 338,000 times in Latin America, from Colombia and Panama to Mexico and Ecuador.
