The Oscar awards, also known as the Academy Awards, are a series of awards granted by the Academy of Arts and Sciences, which recognizes excellence in the cinematography industry, including directors, actors and writers. It is considered the highest honor in the film industry.

This is why the announcement of the award nominees is the film industry’s the most anticipated event of the year. This year’s awards ceremony will be Sunday February 22.
